SEMINAR ON GENDER BUDGETING IS ON IN ASTANA

Today in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, is taking place a seminar on Gender budgeting: social policy mechanisms of the state, organized by Atameken union of entrepreneurs and employers under the auspices of Kazakh Culture and Information Ministry and UNDP.

Spokespersons of state agencies, nongovernmental and public organizations are going to attend it. As stated there gender analysis of budget policy lets properly identify gaps in allocation of common property resources and reconsider social policy priorities in light of gender problems.

There are all conditions for development and promotion of gender equality in Kazakhstan, the participants noted, which suggests necessity of compulsory consideration of gender approaches to social policy budgeting process.
