SPECIAL ADVISER TO THE SEC-GEN ON GENDER ISSUES AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF WOMEN REPORTED TO VISIT KAZAKHSTAN

On June 25-27 Special Adviser to the Secretary-General on Gender Issues and the Advancement of Women Rachel Mayanja will arrive in Astana to attend the II Eurasian Women’s Summit and I Astana Economic Forum.

She is expected also to hold talks with the reps of the Kazakh Parliament, ministries and departments. In addition Ms Mayanja will visit the UN Information Centre under the National Library, the Republican Maternity and Childhood Protection Centre.
