UZBEK CAPITAL HOSTS FORUM ON WOMEN'S ROLE IN SOCIETY

A conference entitled "Prospects for increasing women's role in the social and economic life of Uzbekistan" was held in the Uzbek capital Tashkent on 20 May.

The main purpose of forum is to call on women's committees, public organizations, state agencies, nongovernmental organizations and political parties to protect women's economic and sociopolitical interests and to increase women's role in families and in state building," a deputy prime minister of the Republic Uzbekistan and the chairwoman of the State Committee for Women, Svetlana Inomova said.
