ISSUES OF GENDER POLICY DISCUSSED AT INTERNATIONAL FORUM IN ASHKHABAD

Turkmen Women in Golden Age International Conference took place in the capital of Turkmenistan Ashkhabad. The forum was organized by Union of Turkmenistani Women under the auspices of the President of the State Saparmurat Niyazov. Representatives of 50 countries of the world participated in the event, Kazinform refers to press service of Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Kazakh delegation was presented by the Parliament deputies Dinara Noketayeva and Yelena Tarasenko, MFA’s Ambassador at large Madina Djarbossynova, the Chairman of Association of Business Women of Kazakhstan Raushan Sarsembayeva and the Director of Department on Coordination of Employment and Social Programs of Mangystau oblast (region of Kazakhstan) Akmonshak Bauzhanova.

The head of delegation Adviser to President, Chairman of National Commission on Family Affairs and Gender Policy under the President of Kazakhstan Aitkul Samakova opened the seminar. She reported on the issues concerning gender policy in the country.Problems of state policy in relation to women, family and gender equality in Turkmenistan and other countries, role of a woman in the society, solution of social problems, and activity of women’s organizations were considered at the conference.
