FEMALE FARMERS RECEIVE MICRO CREDITS

The awarding ceremony of the competition, which was carried out by the Social Initiatives Support Fund within the framework of the project “Granting micro credits to female farmers” took place in Intercontinental Hotel yesterday.

The aim of the project is to help female farmers of the Republic to develop their business, raise economic performance, unite, get to know each other, exchange experience, and improve professional skills. Representatives of international organizations, Microcreditbank, the Republican “Mahalla” Fund, credit unions and finalists of the project took part in the ceremony. This time about 300 entrepreneurs from Jizzakh, Navoi, Samarkand, Bukhara, Andijan, Namangan and Fergana areas received financial support for the development of their business.

It is noteworthy that last year microcredits were given to over 70 female farmers. Participants of the project studied book keeping, management, business plan drawing. As a result, women essentially expanded their manufacture, increased the quality and volume of production, many of them mastered new directions in business. All told, 185 new jobs were created by the credit receivers.

The best of them who managed to effectively use the received means, shared their experience with other participants of the meeting, and also received credits for further development of their business.
