NATIONAL COMMITTEE FOR WOMEN IS CHARGED TO STUDY WORLD EXPERIENCE OF DEMOGRAPHIC POLICY

During today's V Forum of Kazakhstan Women President Nursultan Nazarbayev urged the National Committee for Women to study the world experience of demographic policy, Kazinform correspondent reports.

“We must pay great attention to the issues of human development", said the President. I charge the National Committee for Women to study the workd experience of family and demographic policy among public and scientific associations, international organizations.

“The Strategic Plan of Kazakhstan’s Development till 2020 which is being outlined now on my errand must reflect the key priorities of demographic policy”, President Nazarbayev added.

The V Forum of Kazakhstan Women is dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the National Committee for Women. 365 women from Kazakhstan, CIS and non-CIS countries are taking part in the forum.

NAZARBAYEV: KAZAKHSTAN WOMEN MAKE GREAT CONTRIBUTION TO ITS DEVELOPMENT

“You have always been a basis of stability and interethnic concord in the country. You made a great contribution to the development of Kazakhstan”, the Kazakh President noted at the V Forum of Kazakhstan Women in Astana; Kazinform reports. “Stability in the society, our development – it is your merit. And now I address to you: do not change and make men wiser”, the President said.

The President wished “to be optimists and to be in a good temper”.

“Mood of men and society depends on your mood. Women laugh more often than men, therefore they live longer”, N.Nazarbayev said.

“I congratulate all women of the country on the holiday! I wish you health and welfare”, the Head of the State summarised.

NORTH KAZAKHSTAN REGION TAKES PART IN V FORUM OF WOMEN

A delegation of the North Kazakhstan region is taking part in the V Forum of Kazakhstan Women in Astana today.

On the threshold of the Forum Akim (Governor) of the region Serik Bilyalov met with the delegation. He noted that the National Commission for Women Affairs and Family-Demographic Policy under the President of Kazakhstan was established 10 years ago. “I hope you will take active part in this important socio-political event, present our region and share your positive experience in the sphere of gender policy”, the Governor emphasized.

He informed that Petropavlovsk was planning to hold a regular sitting of the National Commission in the nearest future. Today the region works on preparation for the session.

Mr. Bilyalov also informed the delegation of the region’s preparation for the spring sowing campaign, implementation of the antirecessionary program, development of the industrial sector of economy.
